Arts Daily / Gallery Exhibition: Roots and Wings by Lucy Bailey
Gallery Exhibition: Roots and Wings by Lucy Bailey
From the artist: “This body of work is titled Roots and Wings, after the line often attributed to Goethe about children needing roots for stability and wings for independence. While our “what if” questions will never be fully answered, I hope viewers will reflect on their personal narratives, hold gratitude for their sources of resilience, and offer empathy and compassion to themselves and others.”
“There is a point in life when many of us wonder, “What if…?” We begin to recognize how much of who we are is shaped by circumstance-forces both within and beyond our control. ” -Lucy Bailey
